America’s Party of Texas Chairman Andy Prior has traveled from Arlington to visit the Texas Capitol 11 times this legislative session to speak to legislators about bills he supports and bills he opposes. Most of those bills will not be heard by the full House or Senate. While it’s normal for most of the thousands of bills filed each session to go nowhere, important business was delayed this session because of a highly publicized disagreement between the Lt. Governor and the Speaker of the House. Because of that delay, some lesser known issues have not had a chance.
Texans for Voter Choice believes that more candidates on the ballot would lead to more variety in issues discussed during session. If you agree that Texas should change the way candidates get on the ballot to make the process more open, email a video telling us why at firstname.lastname@example.org and join the #flushthesystem campaign.
