Green Party of Texas and the constant struggle to get on the ballot

In the first video of our #flushthesystem campaign, we interviewed our Coalition Partner, katija gruene of the Green Party of Texas.

Gruene has 17 years’ experience working on ballot access issues. Despite being an established party since 1996, the Green Party of Texas must fight to get their candidates on the ballot every election cycle. In this video, gruene describes how the Texas Voter Choice Act, HB 3068, would remove ballot access over-regulation so that the Green Party could spend more time connecting with voters instead of meeting unreasonable deadlines for petitions.

Texans for Voter Choice believes that more candidates on the ballot will lead to better conversations during the campaign cycle and legislative session. If you agree it’s time to #flushthesystem and allow some fresh perspectives into the conversation, email a video telling us why at info@texasvoterchoice.org.
